InMotion Hosting upgrades VPS
InMotion Hosting, a leading web hosting and domain registration company, today announced the release of new virtual private server (VPS hosting) products with enhanced specifications. The company also announced that it was upgrading all current VPS customers to the new products at no charge, giving them double the dedicated memory and 50% more transfer bandwidth than with their previous products.
The new products, the VPS-1000, VPS-2000 and VPS-3000, come standard with a full cPanel/WHM license, enterprise-class Linux OS (CentOS), RAID 10 high-performance data storage and redundant high-speed network connection. They also include burstable memory, which allows the VPS to occasionally exceed its dedicated RAM usage during peak traffic periods.
Web host InMotion Hosting announced on Thursday that it has updated its virtual private server hosting plans, promising customers double the dedicated memory and transfer bandwidth than previous products.
According to the press release, the new products include the VPS-1000, VPS-2000 and VPS-3000, and include a full cPanel/WHM license, enterprise-class Linux OS, RAID 10 high-performance data storage and redundant high-speed network connection.
This news comes as web hosting provider AYKsolutions upgraded its VPS web hosting plans. Web hosts can upgrade their VPS offerings to tailor the service to a specific kind of customer and customize to suit either performance or capacity needs. InMotion says its VPS hosting is a good choice for businesses expecting rapid growth, heavy website traffic or who run highly interactive, dynamic websites.
“At InMotion we are committed to constantly improving our web hosting,” Todd Robinson, CEO of InMotion Hosting said in a statement. “In many cases, particularly with technology, customers may not even realize the work we are doing. This time, though, the improvements in our VPS Hosting line provides significant additional capacity for our customers to use. This is really exciting and, even if our customers don’t require it at the moment, they are ready for growth in the future.”
Existing customers will be upgraded to the new products at no charge, and also be privy to the 50 percent increase in transfer bandwidth and dedicated memory. The VPS hosting plans also include burstable memory, which allows the VPS to scale beyond its dedicated RAM usage during peak traffic periods.
InMotion says its VPS solutions are affordable for business that need features like a custom firewall, dedicated mail server or more control over security.
Starting at $39.95 per month, InMotion VPS hosting provides backups every 24 to 36 hours. Its most popular plan includes 1 GB RAM/2GB burstable, 80GB storage, 1,500GB/mo and 5 IP addresses for $74.95.
