Pacnet announced today it has been selected by Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (HKEx) as a Founding Member of the HKEx Hosting Services Ecosystem. Pacnet will provide high-speed, low-latency connectivity to support customers of the stock exchange’s new hosting services in its new data center in Tseung Kwan O Industrial Estate.
As part of HKEx’s Hosting Services Founding Members Program, Pacnet will participate in the early set-up of the hosting ecosystem at HKEx’s Next Generation Data Center (NGDC), before its launch later this year.

According to court documents filed Tuesday, Carpathia Hosting requested an emergency action “to protect it from undue expense and burden resulting from the continued storage of 1,103 computer servers containing 25 petabytes (25 million gigabytes) of data, which were used to provide services to Megaupload.”
